Started our a.m. with yummy migas and breakfast tacos at The Magnolia Cafe. Washed them down with some fresh grapefruit juice and champagne bellinis. Then spent an hour or two shopping the stores on Congress. Got me some jewelry and vintage clothes. My roomie got some cowboy boots and belts.
Drove 673 miles today, weaving our way through North/West Texas hitting places like Cisco, Snyder and Lubbock before finally escaping into New Mexico: The Land of Enchantment. Best welcome sign seen so today trip is in the photo above. Most favorite town name for today: Blanket, TX. Scenery was more interesting than the sticks in water on I-10W. Noticed almost every single town we’ve stopped in has a MLK Blvd/Street/Rd.
Stopped for steaks at The Shack in Snyder, TX. Not much else to report, boat loads of driving – enough so that today seemed long enough to be day 3and 4. Driving across Texas can just made the day that long.
